Book 25: Lullabies for Little Criminals

Book: Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather O’Neill

I really enjoyed this book. Sometimes I had to stop and remember that we’re looking through the eyes of 13 year old girl who has basically spent her life in the seedy underbelly of Montreal, and I had to let go and accept the sometimes ridiculous things she would say. It’s hard to think of anyone growing up in that kind of environment. But Baby somehow managed to sound like an innocent child despite everything going on around her. A disturbing yet great read.
