Book 9: A Darkness Absolute

Book: A Darkness Absolute by Kelley Armstrong
Rating: 4/5

I’ve griped about this before, but Kelley Armstrong recycles her characters, this still very much feels like Jack/Nadia, complete with an adorable puppy. But, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. I will say, it’s a nice change of pace that the characters are in a relationship throughout this series and not just pining after each other. It’s extra refreshing that they actually have mature conversations with each other over their relationship instead of suffering from misunderstandings. And I still wish that there were a few extra chapters in the book because the ending is very abrupt. Mystery solved, book over. But the book itself was quite enjoyable, I really liked the mystery and loved that we got to see more of Jacob and the settlers outside. This world just fascinates me and I hope there are more books to come!
