Book 21: Letters to the Lost

Book: Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer
Rating: 2.5/5

After about 30% of this book, I started to lose interest and it never really came back. It was a cute concept, and I liked Juliet and Declan but this book was at least 100 pages too long and it started meandering through the middle and then packed way too much in at the end. Everything was resolved way too quickly as well; all of a sudden Declan is fine with his mom and stepdad and Juliet is done thinking her mom is perfect. This is also one of those books that tries to pack in too many issues, it would have been better to fully flesh out a few. I feel like all the characters were very one dimensional and seemed surprised to find out that there are other sides to someone’s personality.  But I really liked Rev and his friendship with Declan. And some of the dialog was great, I loved seeing Juliet, Declan and Rev together.
